Four Dimensions of High-Quality Economic Development
(Abstract)
Hong Yinxing
As an important component of Xi Jinping Thought on Economy, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major expositions on high-quality economic development reflect the CPC’s deepening understanding of the laws governing economic development and constitute a theoretical insight encompassing four dimensions. The first emphasizes the purpose of development, namely the realization of people-centered development, while the second focuses on the mode of development that embodies the new development philosophy. Together, these two dimensions provide a scientific definition of the core connotations of high-quality economic development. The third dimension—building a new development paradigm—and the fourth—fostering new quality productive forces—respectively address the spatial configuration and driving forces of development, representing strategic deployments and path choices for achieving high-quality development in the new era. Unified within the broader process of Chinese modernization, these four dimensions vividly embody the problem-oriented focus and practice-based theoretical innovation of Xi Jinping Thought on Economy and offer clear guidance for advancing Chinese modernization comprehensively through high-quality development.
